flu fight fever!

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Today is the first day back after a tough few days of fighting off the flu that seems to be floating around getting everyone.  I didn’t go quietly though as I began to fight it the minute my head started to feel like a pin cushion and my throat started to close up.  The first thing I did was go to the “raw food” store down the street and get a pure blend of garlic, celery, parsley and beet juice.  I drank this concoction for most of the day then I took echinacea in capsule form followed by a chaser of E3 Live.

This was the first time I’ve actually taken E3Live, although I’ve been reading up on it for the last few months.  I usually drink one ounce of wheat grass everyday for cleansing but for the purpose of killing this flu I thought this would be a good time to try out E3 and see if it could help  with my fight against the flu. It worked like a charm.

The combination of power juicing, E3Live and popping echinacea every 3 hours did the trick as I was able to function in a limited capacity over the last few days without having to curl up into a ball like some of my friends have been doing when they got hit with this nasty virus.  I’m not sure exactly where I picked it up, but I am certain from what my friends have been describing that I avoided the worst of it.  I typically get sick once a year and I’m hoping this was my “one time” so the rest of 2008 is clear sailing.

E3Live™ (fresh-frozen, liquid AFA) is an all-organic wild-harvested aqua-botanical considered by renowned health authorities to be nature’s most beneficial superfood.

Physiologically, E3Live™ helps restore overall body/mind balance in numerous ways. Its field of action simultaneously includes the immune, endocrine, nervous, gastro-intestinal and cardio-vascular systems.

Nutritionally, E3Live™ provides 64 easily absorbed vitamins, minerals and enzymes and has more biologically active chlorophyll than any known food. It is the most nutrient dense food known to mankind…or so they say.

Pay it forward…

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

The year for me is going to be all about doing the right thing, creating good karma and paying it forward.  Based on the years past and my desire to understand and assess my successes and failures, I’ve paid close attention to my internal cycles.  In fact I have been tracking my cycles for years now and pay very close attention to when things are going smoothly or are seeming difficult; which largely depends on where I am in my cycle.   With that being said, 2008 is the beginning of my upswing  and the meter on the scale is pointing straight up!

1st Marathon of the year…

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

It’s earlier than I anticipated, but I’ve decided to join my good friend John this coming weekend to do my first 1/2 marathon since 1988.  I wasnt going to run this far this early in the year, however, my pal is going to do it at a slow pace; I think this will be a good “beginning of the year” motivator to further keep me focused and mentally on edge right from the start of 2008.

I’m also going to run at a slow pace to ensure I dont injure myself and I’m really looking forward to the euphoric feeling of running a good distance.  I’m not keeping track of time or push myself…just complete the race is the goal.

I really have to start blogging earlier in the day to reach the cutoff!

Goals, promises and resolutions…

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

January 1st, 2008

Well, here it is the 2nd already and I’m making excuses as to why I’m breaking one of my New Year resolutions.  Actually, I’m not really breaking it, I just need to figure out how to set the proper time on my blog to be on Pacific Standard Time instead of EST and I’ll be fine.  The fact is, if I dont post an entry before 9pm, it posts on the following day.  So why am I whining about missing the first day of the year?

The first resolution I made this year for 2008 is to make an entry into my blog everyday no matter what the circumstances.  This (”no matter what circumstance”) also applies to eating every 2 - 3 hours instead of 2 - 3 meals a day, exercising at least 20 minutes a day (any type) and reading some type of literature at least twice a week; magazines included.  I’m so lazy about reading…I actually have to force myself to pick something up and read it.

The remainder of my goals this year are specific to how successful I want to become specific to Fatherhood, my Health (exercise and diet) and how much Wealth (liquid cash and investments) I can accumulate in 2008; which I will articulate and post in the next few days.

To all my family and friends and wish you all the best this year…this is truly going to be the best year for me as I am mentally, physically and spiritually ready for everything the planet has in store.  Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
