Mind over matter and the Happy Medium

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Since my last cleanse 45 days ago and the current transition back to regular foods and relatively normal eating habits (beef and most dairies not included). I’ve decided i will do both the Master Cleanse and the liver cleanse twice a year to reset my system. In addition, the Master Cleanse provides the mental strength and will power to push the body into doing things that scare us or remember things we need to do to do; stay focused and achieve a balance in life.

While the MC diet is somewhat extreme to most who know or hear of it for the first time, so is the way in which most people abuse their bodies or over indulge in food that isn’t good for them. The difference is that over eating, getting fatter and losing perspective of ones health is accepted by most of the population, while fasting, de-toxing and getting healthy by any means possible is sadistic or ridiculous (to most). So where is the happy medium? I dont know exactly, but i’m on the hunt to find out. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the 38 years of my existence is that when everything goes to hell, start from the beginning and apply the experiences and knowledge you picked up along the way. The hard part is applying the parts that hurt us, as its so easy to do those things over and over again.
